Four die in car-container collision in Nashik

Four people died on the spot when their car collided with a container on Mumbai-Agra national highway in front of the Namokar pilgrimage in Chandwad taluka of the district on Monday morning.

According to Vadner Bhairav police, the deceased were identified as Krishnakant Chindha Mali, Kiran Harischandra Ahirrao, Anil Vishnu Patil and Pravin Madhukar Pawar. All four resided in Dhule district.

All four victims were going to Dhule from Nashik by car while the container was coming from opposite direction; the accident occurred near Namocar pilgrimage in Chandwad taluka.

Vadnerbhairav Police and Soma Tollways Company's accident team reached the accident site.

Traffic on the highway was blocked for some time after the accident.
