Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Kangana Ranaut has sought a compensation of Rs. 2 crores from Mumbai's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for "illegal" demolition of a part of her office at the Pali Hill.

She had earlier approached the Bombay High Court which is scheduled to hear the actress's petition against the demolition of her office by BMC on Sept 22.

The court had also stayed the Shiv Sena ruled BMC’s demolition order of Manikarnika Films Pvt Ltd’s office and said it "prima facie does not appear to be bonafide and smacks of malafide".

Kangana made the compensation claim of Rs. 2 crores in a separate petition.

The court had earlier reprimanded the BMC for producing an extremely unclear sketch/drawing in its stop-work notice, adding that the unauthorized works could not be seen at all.

The 33-year-old actor had said the demolition bid by the BMC was just a vendetta as she spoke over Sushant's death and the 'nexus between Shiv Sena and the Bollywood mafia'.

The actress had even said that she no more feels safe in Mumbai and compared the city with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
