Karnataka polls: Congress leader DK Shivakumar's family has assets worth Rs 1,414 cr

Kanakapura/UNI: Total assets of Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar's family is worth Rs 1,414 crore.

This came to light when he filed his nomination for contesting the Kanakapura seat.

Out of this, the Congress leader possess movable and immovable assets worth Rs 1,214 crore, while his wife Usha Shivakumar assets totals up to Rs 153.3 crore. Besides, the property of the undivided family is Rs 61 crore.

The affidavit reveals that the source of income for Shivakumar is from farming, rent and shares in various companies, and businesses. His liability is worth Rs 226 crore.

The Congress leader's annual income is Rs 14.24 crore, while his wife’s is Rs 1.9 crore. He owns 2.184 kg gold, 12.6 kg silver, 1.066 kg gold jewellery, 324 gm diamond, 24 gm rubies, 195 gm diamond, and 87 gm ruby.

Shivakumar also declared owning Hublot and Rolex watches worth Rs 23 lakh and Rs 9 lakh, respectively.

Karnataka is going for polls on May 10 and counting of votes will take place on May 13.
