Jammu/IBNS: Expressing concern over the fire incident at Kilshay village in Tulail subdivision of Gurez Valley, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha directed the Bandipora district administration to conduct on-the-spot assessment and provide immediate relief to the affected families.

A relief of Rs 1.10 lakh to each affected family whose residential structure had been completely damaged would be released Thursday under the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) norms, an official spokesman said.

Every possible support would be extended to the families including temporary rehabilitation and shifting wherever required, he said.

Acting on the directions, the district authorities supplied blankets, sustenance kits, including cooking oil and pulses, household utensils, and Rs 15,000 to each family.
