Kerala: Four killed, 10 hurt as bus rams into car

Kottayam/UNI: Four persons were killed on the spot and 10 passengers sustained minor injuries when a bus rammed into a car at Cherumchuvadu bridge on the Kottayam-Vaikom route on Tuesday.

The accident occurred when the four travelling in the car were heading towards Velorvattom temple at Cherthala.

The deceased were identified as Viswanathan, his wife Girija, son Sooraj and a relative Girija all hailing from Udayamperoor, police said.

The car was completely damaged in the accident, police added.

The bodies were kept at a private hospital in Vaikom.

Among the injured, some of them were admitted to Taluk hospital in Vaikom.
