Maharashtra: Blast in solar power plant leaves 1 dead

Beed, Maharashtra, Jul 26 (UNI) A labourer was killed and two others were seriously injured after a blast took place in a solar power plant at Chatgaon village in Dharur taluka of the district in the wee hours on Friday.

The incident occurred around 0300 hrs at 'Tulai Solar Project' when the repairing work was going on, sources said.

The deceased was identified as Jayaraj Jaya Balan (27) while Ramanand Ramratan Kharwal (23)

and Sampat Kamalakar Shinde (23), were seriously injured.

The injured were rushed to Swarati Hospital at Ambajogai and later shifted to Latur for further treatment.

The exact cause of the blast was yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
