New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni's selfie was one of the closing shots from the Indian premier's Italy tour for the G7 Summit. India was the outreach country at the summit.

In a picture which went viral on social media, Meloni can be seen clicking the selfie with Modi by her side while both were in all smiles.

The viral picture was almost a deja vu moment for the two global leaders whose selfie at the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai turned out to be popular.

On the work front, Modi Friday held bilateral talks with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni with whom he had a "good meeting" to cement ties between two countries.

Modi also thanked her for inviting him to the G7 Summit. Earlier he was welcomed by Meloni in Italy.

India has been invited to the G7 Summit as an Outreach country.

The bilateral talks concentrated on India-Italy relations in areas like commerce, energy, defence, telecom and more.

"Our nations will work together in futuristic areas like biofuels, food processing and critical minerals," PM Modi posted in an X post.
