Gandhinagar, Aug 29 (UNI) Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited Mukesh Ambani on Thursday called Union Home Minister Amit Shah 'Iron Man' of 21st century.

Addressing the a convocation ceremony at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University here, Ambani said, "Amit bhai, your are a true karma yogi and your are an iron man of our age. Your energy and focus always amazes me."

Without any direct reference to the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the billionaire Industrialist compared Shah to nation's first home minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel, fondly remembered as 'Iron Man of India'.

Patel was also called 'Unifier of India' for leading the task of forging a united India, successfully integrating into the newly independent nation those British colonial provinces that had been 'allocated' to the independent nation.

Ambani said that Gujarat and now India is blessed to have an inspiring leader like you and for all that you have done for our state and our country, we can only say a big and heartfelt thank you to you.

On the occasion he also boasted about his Gujarat connection and said, "Whenever I visit Gujarat my sense of pride in my state always goes up a notch higher. Gujarat, its achievements and institutions have become a benchmark for the nation."
