US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met Indian PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday when they positively assessed the significant advancement in the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership over the last four years in multiple areas including Artificial Intelligence and technology.

They held discussions on several sectors which included technology, defence, space, civil nuclear, clean energy, and semiconductors.

"Recalling his various meetings with President Biden, including during his visit to the US in September 2024 for the Quad Leaders’ Summit, PM appreciated President Biden’s contributions towards strengthening of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which leaves an enduring legacy," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

During the meeting, Modi appreciated the letter from President Biden which was handed over to him by NSA Sullivan.

"PM reaffirmed his commitment to continue to deepen close cooperation between the two democracies for the benefit of the people of the two countries and for the global good," MEA said in the statement.
Sullivan is the last high-profile US official who visited India before Donald Trump takes charge as the President this month.
