Odisha: Three killed, one injured in road accident

Bhubaneswar/UNI: Three people were killed and one woman was admitted to a hospital with critical injuries after the vehicle in which they were travelling dashed against a tree near Basini square on Umerkote-Jharigaon road in Nabarangpur district on Thursday midnight.

Sources said the accident occurred when four persons including the woman were returning home after attending a wedding party at Jagadalpur in Chhattisgarh.

Police and fire brigade personnel rescued the persons and rushed them to Umerkote hospital.

While three of them died in the hospital, the injured woman was shifted to Nabarangpur district headquarters hospital after her condition deteriorated.
