One killed and four injured in house collapse in West Bengal

Malda, Sep 10 (UNI) At least one minor was killed and four others, including a woman, were injured when the roof of a house, under construction, collapsed in Nurpur village under Manikchawk Police Station in the district last night.

Police said here today that the injured were first rushed to a local hospital which referred them to Malda Medical College and Hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical.

The incident happened when they were watching a programme for Muharram and some of the kids climbed the roof leading to its collapse.

The deceased and the injured hailed from Shamka village of Harishchandrapur.

Tension was running high in the area following the accident.
