Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged devotees of Lord Ram to not visit Ayodhya on January 22 for the inauguration of the Ram Temple.

He urged the devotees to come to the city to pay obeisance at the temple from January 23.

"As bhakts, we would want to ensure that we don't create any problems for Lord Ram. All the devotees can come to Ayodhya from January 23 till eternity... Ram Mandir is now there forever and ever," PM Modi said.

PM Modi made the remarks during his address on the occasion of the inauguration of a renovated railway station and an airport in the holy city.

The eagerly anticipated opening ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is expected to be a lavish event scheduled for January 22.

Devotees from various parts of the country have already started arriving at the site to observe the progress of the temple complex.

Around 8,000 dignitaries have received invitations to participate in the consecration ceremony, and 15% of the workforce involved in the construction at the site will also be invited, according to an NDTV report.
