PM Narendra Modi to visit Ukraine: MEA

| @indiablooms | Aug 19, 2024, at 06:06 pm

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ukraine, which is going to be his first trip to the war-torn country since its conflict with Russia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Monday (August 19).

The development comes about a month after PM Modi met Russuan President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

The MEA said details of Prime Minister's Ukraine trip will be shared later in the day.

According to reports, PM Modi is likely to visit Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, this month.

Narendra Modi travelled to Russia a month ago on July 8 for summit talks with the Russian President, where he expressed his eagerness to strengthen the bilateral partnership, particularly in futuristic areas, and emphasised that stronger India-Russia ties would greatly benefit their citizens.

Modi also highlighted India's commitment to playing a supportive role in regional peace and stability.

This is a developing story.
