New Delhi/IBNS: On the third anniversary of the Centr's note ban move, Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi attacked the PM Narendra Modi led government over the move.

Rahul Gandhi even described it as 'terror attack'.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted: "3 years since #Demonetisation and every claim made by the government and those hailing it as a slayer of all evils has been turned on its head. It proved to be a disaster that has all but destroyed our economy. Anyone want to claim responsibility? #DeMonetisationDisaster."

Rahul said: "It’s 3 yrs since the Demonetisation terror attack that devastated the Indian economy, taking many lives, wiping out lakhs of small businesses & leaving millions of Indians unemployed. Those behind this vicious attack have yet to be brought to justice. #DeMonetisationDisaster."

In a televised addressed to the nation at 2000 hrs on Nov 6, 2016, Modi had announced the move and said it was to end corruption, black money and terror funding.

Old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes were banned.
