Republic Day celebration in Jammu and Kashmir: BSF unfurls 131-feet-high tricolour along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu

New Delhi:  The Border Security Force (BSF) unfurled a 131-feet-high tricolour along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu district as a part of the Republic day celebration on Tuesday.

" On the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, IG BSF Jammu hoisted one of the largest National Flags in Jammu at BSF Border Out Post Octroi. The flag stands high at 131 feet and can be seen even from a distance in Pakistan," BSF Jammu tweeted.

The flag measuring 30×20 feet is the tallest in the Jammu region, flying at a 131-feet-high pole, BSF officials said on Tuesday, reports ANI.

India observed Republic Day on Tuesday.
