India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday met his Australian counterpart Penny Wong when the two top leaders discussed various perspectives of the Indo-Pacific strategic picture, progress in the Quad and G20.

"Warm and wide ranging discussions with FM @SenatorWong at Sydney Harbour today," Jaishankar tweeted.

"Exchanged perspectives on the Indo-Pacific strategic picture, progress in the Quad, G20 developments and our respective neighbourhoods," he said.

According to reports, Jaishankar gifted the Australian minister a cricket bat signed by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.

Jaishankar was presented by his Australian counterpart an Australian cricket jersey with “Jaishankar” written on it.

Jaishankar arrived in Sydney on Saturday after completing his Fiji trip.

This is his third visit to Australia since February 2022 when he first visited Australia as EAM.

He would have meetings with the leadership of Australia in Sydney.

EAM would also attend the Raisina@Sydney Conference to be held in Australia for the first time.
