Samajwadi Party will form government in 2022: Akhilesh Yadav

Azamgarh/UNI: Samajwadi Party (SP) president and local MP Akhilesh Yadav on Monday claimed of forming a government with majority in the 2022 Assembly elections.

Yadav said that the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state have been unsuccessful on all fronts and the Samajwadi Party is standing with the farmers' agitation with full honesty.

He alleged that the Centre and the state governments are anti-farmers.

"Today, the farmers have launched a movement to demand their rights but the government is not giving it to them. The prices of goods are increasing continuously. Black-marketing is at its peak, the electricity bills are increasing. The government was talking about doubling the income of farmers, now it is retracting from its promise," he said.

The party workers, who were very keen on meeting the SP president and went to Azamgarh following a long gap after winning the election from there, broke the door of the Circuit House after they lost patience.

The SP workers also had an altercation with the policemen over the same matter.

In view of the situation, Yadav went to an SP leader's house without meeting the workers.

Raising a question on the modus operandi of the Centre over the management of controlling the coronavirus, he said that other countries have made full preparations for the vaccine but so far, there is no preparation here.

Things are being said in the air. There is confusion about the vaccine today also, he said.

Responding to a question about an alliance, the former UP CM said that this time, the alliance will be with small parties.

Reacting to a question about Shivpal Yadav, he said that it was a personal matter and will be solved after sitting together.
