Srinagar, Aug 2 (UNI) Reacting to advisory issued by the government to Amarnath pilgrims and yatries to curtail their stay and leave Kashmir, president of J&K Peoples Movement (JKPM) Shah Faesal on Friday asked if government was considering such an advisory for locals also.

''Should Kashmiris also migrate to other places or is it that our lives do not matter,?'' former IAS topper-turned- politician questioned.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Shah Faesal said, ''JK Govt has asked tourists and Amarnath Yatries to leave Kashmir immediately in view of a security threat. Is the Government considering any such advisory for locals also? Should Kashmiris also migrate to other places or is it that our lives do not matter?”.

An advisory was issued on Friday by Principal Secretary Home Shaleem Kabra asked pilgrims and tourists to curtail their stay and leave the Kashmir valley in view the militant threat.

Pilgrimage from Jammu to Baltal and Nunwan Pahalgam base camps in Kashmir have been suspended for the past three days. Yatra was also suspended from base camps to holy Cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, where 3.42 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance since the commencement of the annual pilgrimage from July I.
The yatra will conclude on August 15.
