Two killed in Delhi road accident

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI): Two people including a woman died and two others were injured when their vehicle hit a divider near Vivek Vihar Surya Nagar traffic signal in the early hours here on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as 18-year-old Prabhjot Singh and 20-year-old Rubal, while the injured were identified as Keshav and Arshdeep.

The four were rushed to the GTB hospital where Rubal and Prabhjot were declared brought dead.

According to police sources, a call around 0540 hours was received about an accident at police station Vivek Vihar.

On receiving the same, the police reached at the spot near Surya Nagar Red light from where the injured persons were reported to have been taken to GTB hospital for treatment.

A white Honda City was found in a damaged condition at spot.

A street light post and railings were also found uprooted from divider of the road.

Sources said the damaged car collided with the street light post and railings.

Investigation is on.
