UP: Yogi Adityanath resigns from UP legislative council

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM-designate Yogi Adityanath tendered his resignation from the membership of state legislative council, here on Tuesday.

Yogi Adityanath sent his resignation letter to the Legislative Council Chairman on Monday evening, sources said here on Tuesday.

Yogi Adityanath, a consecutive five time MP from Gorakhpur, was elected for the first from Gorakhpur(urban) assembly seat in the just concluded assembly polls in the state.

Yogi Adityanath was elected to the state legislative council on September 8, 2017 after he was made the CM.
