Uttar Pradesh ATS arrests wanted criminal connected with Pakistani terrorists

Lucknow, July 28 (UNI): Uttar Pradesh Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested a wanted criminal connected with Pakistani terrorists and carrying reward of Rs 25,000 on his head, from the Karnelganj area, police said here on Sunday.

Additional director general of police (ATS) Asim Arun here on Sunday said arrested criminal Saurabh Shukla was accused of having connections with Pakistani handlers. He was involved in fund transfer for criminal activities.

Arun said four persons were arrested from Jhansi with 1,000 detonators and 5,000 gelatin rods. During interrogation they had named some persons involved in the case.

He said that 11 other people were also arrested in this connection from Gorakhpur. Some PAN cards, sim cards and other suspicious items were recovered from them.
