'Why of the party, by the party, for the party'? Suvendu Adhikari's veiled attack on Trinamool

Kolkata/IBNS: In a veiled attack on the Trinamool Congress, rebel party leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday accused the ruling dispensation of working only for the interests of the party and not common people.

In another non-political rally in Haldia, Adhikari said, "Let us bring the time where we would work for the people, by the people and for the people. Why will it be of the party, by the party and for the party."

"I never make personal attacks. There are some people who are attacking me. I remind them that they will be nothing short of people like Laksshman Seth (once a powerful Left leader from Tamluk)," he said.

Even after several rounds of talks with the Trinamool top brass and senior party leaders, Adhikari refused to work for the party actively and continued to hold independent rallies.

However, Adhikari is yet to make his political position clear with barely a few months to go for the next assembly elections.

The Trinamool MLA has already resigned as the West Bengal Minister.
