Mumbai: Actor Sidharth Shukla cremated

Mumbai/UNI: Small-screen heartthrob and Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla, who passed away due to heart attack on Thursday, was cremated at the Oshiwara crematorium here on Friday.

His mother Rita Shukla, rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill and many other celebrities attended the final rites of the 40-year-old actor.

Several actors, including Varun Dhawan, Gauahar Khan and Manish Paul, reached the late actor’s residence to pay their last respects.

His Bigg Boss co-contestants Shefali Jariwala, Arti Singh, Sambhavana Seth and Rahul Mahajan were among others to have visited his Mumbai home.

Earlier, Asim Riaz was also seen at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, where Sidharth was brought after his death.

Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz was also spotted along with Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni and Rashami Desai at the crematorium.

'Ghar ekdum soona-soona lag raha tha" said Rakhi Sawant. The actress posted an Instagram video wherein she shared that she met the late actor's mother. "Aankhein khuli hain lekin hosh mein nahin hain," said Rakhi as she broke down in the video.

A heartbreaking excerpt from her post read, "Sid Please come back mom is waiting for you bhot huee chupa chupi ma bula rahi hai bhai aaja."

According to reports, the actor had complained of uneasiness and chest pain at around 0300 hrs yesterday. He went back to sleep after having a glass of water and did not wake up again.

He was rushed to the Cooper hospital here where the doctors pronounced him brought dead.

His autopsy, conducted last night, was video graphed and showed no internal or external injury, sources said.

However, the viscera samples have been sent for a chemical analysis. The exact cause of death will be known only after a histopathology is done, they said.

Sidharth, who shot to fame with Balika Vadhu, added to his humongous fan following post winning Bigg Boss 13, where his pairing with co-contestant Shehnaz Gill was adored by fans. The hashtag #Sidnaaz continued to grow in popularity even after two years of his winning the show. He also participated and won Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.

His death has sent shockwaves across the TV fraternity as well as his fans.

Sidharth debuted in TV with Babul Ka Aangann Chootey in 2008 and also worked in movies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. His popular shows included Balika Vadhu and Dil Se Dil Tak. He was recently seen in web series Broken But Beautiful 3 which received a tremendous response from his fans.
