Kolkata, Sept 19 (IBNS) Actor Raima Sen prefers going either ethnic or western depending on occasion but knows mix and match is the 'in' thing for today's girls.

“I wear completely traditional attires or I am westernized. Either way I go the whole hog. I don’t like to tinker between the two. But I know that others go for mix and match,” Raima tells IBNS at the launch of Nee & Oink apparel range here.

The ‘Bong Connection’ girl, who loves white, red or yellow colors rues she will be out of the city during Durga Puja days, out holidaying in hills and miss the typical Puja flavor.

About her upcoming projects Raima lets out talks are progressing for a Hindi film over mail but she will officially come up with details when “time is up and it is confirmed.”

Raima, who confirms Kolkata is turning more and more fashion savvy as the days pass by, says among her city-based designer friends she loves flaunting the fabrics of the two sisters Nee (Neelakshi) Ray and Oink (Oiendrila Ray) .

“Earlier they used to stitch my wear but I had never been to their place,” she said.

Designers Dev and Nil, who were present,  says while fashion is glitzy in Bollywood and expensive in Delhi, it is classy in Kolkata from where people like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Kiran Uttam Ghosh and Anamika Khanna all had begun.

"We may not have direct access to Bollywood like Mumbai-based fashion designers,  but tell me one premier show where our designers have not made their presence felt from Lakme India to other,” Nil said.

The market might be larger in Delhi and Mumbai as new industry is based there, but the new generation of fashion designers here are about to change that, they will keep economy growing, he said.
