Mumbai/IBNS: Fans’ excitement over the digital premiere of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab has reportedly led to technical issues on OTT platform JioHotstar.

Despite a lacklustre performance at the box office, the film has generated significant buzz ahead of its streaming debut.

JioHotstar said it faced technical disruptions due to an unprecedented number of users clicking the “Remind Me” option, prompting the platform to upgrade its servers to handle the surge in demand.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. The film reportedly earned around ₹201 crore worldwide, falling well short of its estimated production cost of ₹400 crore.

Cinematography for the film is by Karthik Palani, while editing has been handled by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar.

The Raja Saab is slated for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026.
