Rock On completes 8 years, gears up for its sequel
Not many films are able to leave a mark on the audience , but unlike those, Rock On has made a special place with some super awesome music.
The winner of several prestigious awards, Rock On was an extremely loved film by critics as well the audiences about how 5 friends reunite to keep alive a band they started during their college days.
Rock on was produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar starring Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli and Farhan Akhtar.
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani shares," Rock On, which is one of the two National Award winning films of ours completing 8 years is even more special for us as we gear up for the release of its sequel coincidentally in the 15th year of Excel Entertainment."
He further adds, "We were waiting for the right script to take this franchise forward & The best part about this script is that it offers a platform for the next generation to take center stage."
Rock On showcased strong friendship and the bond shared between people. This national award winning film is evergreen . 8 years back the looks the cast sported had become trends , the music was a sensation! An anthem an inspiration to many, the music not only raked chart numbers , but was topping people's playlists too.
This film also gave birth to a new acting superstar for the industry, Farhan Akhtar. After directing some really loved films, Farhan Akhtar stepped into the shoes of an actor and fabulously so.
Farhan shares, "Rock on will always remain one of my most special films since it opened a new chapter in my life, of acting. Thereon, I got a chance to explore even more interesting opportunities and continue learning."
He further adds, "Now that we are releasing the sequel, the same excitement is there and we hope this one receives a lot more love from the audiences."
Rock on 2 reunites most of its cast with an addition of Shraddha Kapoor and will emulate passion for music, friendship and give us with some ear pleasing music.
Rock on 2, directed by Shujaat Saudagar starring Farhan Akhtar ,Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shraddha Kapoor releases on Nov 11.
