Stree to cross Rs 100 crore on Saturday

Mumbai, Sept 15 (IBNS): Bollywood horror-comedy movie Stree is set to cross the Rs 100 crore-mark on Saturday.

The movie has so far collected Rs 97.67 crore.

If it does get there, it will the the ninth movie of 2018 to breach the three figure mark (in terms of crore).

Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Stree is all set to cross ₹ cr today [Sat; Day 16]... Will be the ninth Hindi film to cruise past ₹ 100 cr mark in 2018... [Week 3] Fri 2.14 cr. Total: ₹ 97.67 cr. India biz."

In an ensuing tweet, he said: "HINDI FILMS that made it to the ₹ 100 cr Club in 2018...

Stree stars actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor as the leads and Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.

The film is directed by Amar Kaushik.

Stree released on Aug 31.
