Adelaide 2: Bopanna, Mirza lose their doubles matches

Adelaide/UNI: India's Rohan Bopanna paired with French tennis player Edouard Roger-Vasselin Tuesday went down fighting to the American duo Steve Johnson and Austin Krajicek in the first round doubles match under the second Adelaide ATP.

After splitting the first two sets, the American pair clinched the issue in tie-breaker and secured a 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 win in 69 minutes.

Tezaer Martincova and Marketa Vondrousova of Czech Republic defeated second seeds Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine and Sania Mirza (India) 6-3, 6-3 in the doubles round of 16 under the second Adelaide WTA.

Kaichi Uchida (Japan) and Tung-Lin Wu of Taipei upset fourth seeds Marco Bortolotti of Italy and Arjun Kadhe of India in straight sets 6-2 6-4 in the first round doubles match in Citta Di Forli 2 (Italy).
