Afghanistan name squad for U-19 WC, Farhan Zakhil to lead

Kabul/IBNS:  Farhan Zakhil will lead the Afghanistan U-19 team in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup that is going to be held in South Africa in January 2020.

ACB Selection committee has named the squad for the crucial U-19 tournament.

The ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020 is scheduled to be held from Jan 17 to Feb 9 in South Africa.

Afghanistan is in Group D of the competition and is scheduled to face hosts South Africa, UAE and Canada in the Group stage of the tournament  

The squad is as follows:              

Farhan Zakhil (C), Sediq Atal, Rahmanullah Zadran, Ibrahim Zadran, Ishaq Mohammadi, Noor Ahmad, Shafiqullah Ghafari, Jamshid Mir Alikhil, Abdul Rahman, Abid Taniwal, Fazal Haq, Imran Mir, Zohaib Zamankhil, Asif Musazai and Abid Mohammadi.

Pacer Samiullah Salarzai, Majeed Alam, Arif Khan, Islam Zazai and Ihsan Mandozai are in the reserved list for the tournament.
