Ahmedabad, Apr 19 (IBNS) Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets in an Indian Premiere League (IPL) clash here on Sunday.

Chasing Chennai's 156  for four, Rajasthan reached 157 runs by losing two wickets with 10 balls to spare.

Ravindra Jadeja took Watson's wicket and then Dwayne Bravo showed Steve Smith (6) the door towards the pavilion to give CSK two quick jolts.

However, it was too late as Rahane and Karun Nair (1*) ensured eight wickets victory in the first match of the day.

Earlier, riding on Bravo (62) and MS Dhoni (31*)  added 91 runs in the fifth wicket partnership to post 156 runs on the scorecard.
