Australian Open: Novak Djokovic beats Gilles Simon

Melbourne, Jan 24 (IBNS) Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic reached the last eight stage of the Australian Open men's singles event by beating Gilles Simon here on Sunday.

In a hard fought last-16 encounter, Djokovic beat his opponent -3 6-7 (1-7) 6-4 4-6 6-3.

The clash lasted for four hours and 32 minutes.
