Dhaka, Mar 22 (IBNS) Large number of fans had assembled in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to welcome the Bangladesh cricket team as they returned to Dhaka on Sunday.

The team reached Bangladesh at around 7:30 pm.

Bangladesh crushed out of the World Cup after losing their quater-finals  match against India last week.

"The best thing about the team was that we believed in ourselves. We actually believed that we could go through to the semifinals despite the defeat. Our players played very well. If I have to select the player-of-the-tournament for us it would be a tie between Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad," captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.
