BCCI announces packed home schedule for upcoming 2019-2020 season

New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the upcoming home season in which India will play five Tests, nine ODIs and 12 T20Is.

During this home season, India will play against South Africa in the Freedom Trophy, which is slated to be held from September 15, which includes three T20Is and as much Tests.

Then, India would host Bangladesh for three T20Is and two Tests. It will be the first time when India host neighbours Bangladesh for a two-match Test series.

Similarly, India will host the neighbours for the first time for a T20 series as well, said the schedule announced on Monday night.

These Tests matches will be a part of Test championship.

In December, West Indies will be touring India for a three T20Is and as much ODIs. The first match of the series will be played at Mumbai on December 6.

Next year, Zimbabwe will tour India for three T20Is. This will be Zimbabwe’s first tour of India for a shorter format of the game.

During the last phase of this home season, mighty Australia are scheduled to play a three-match ODI series starting January 14.

South Africa too are scheduled to play three ODIs against India from March 12 to 18.

During the period, India won't play any full-fledged home series.
