Brazilian footballer Neymar's girlfriend Bruna Biancardi was the target of a recently armed burglary after a criminal gang tried to break into their house in Brazil, media reports said.

A man has been arrested in connection with the home invasion that took place in Cotia, greater Sao Paulo, reported Daily Mail.

According to reports, Bruna Biancardi and her daughter were not in the house when the attack took place.

An investigation is currently underway to identify the other two people associated with the crime.

It has also been alleged by Quem that the intruders - two of whom were reportedly armed - wanted to find Bruna and her daughter who she welcomed with Neymar at the start of October, reported Daily Mail.

The São Paulo Department of Public Security (SSP-SP) was quoted as saying by the newspaper: "The Civil Police of Cotia is investigating a robbery that occurred on the morning of Tuesday (07) in a condominium in the city."

"According to reports, three armed men allegedly entered the residence and overpowered the 50-year-old and 52-year-old victims. The suspects stole purses, watches, and jewellery," the department said.

"A 20-year-old man was arrested in the act. The second perpetrator has already been identified and efforts are underway to identify the third, as well as arrest them," the department said.
