Caroline Wozniacki beats Magdalena Rybarikova in Australian Open clash

Melbourne, Jan 21 (IBNS): World number two Caroline Wozniacki reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open by beating 20th seed Magdalena Rybarikova.

She defeated her opponent 6-3 6-0 in the clash.

The match lasted for 63 minutes.
Caroline Wozniacki dropped only six points in the second set of thge clash.

“I think being almost out of the tournament, you have nothing to lose after that,’’ Wozniacki was quoted as saying by the tournament website.

“You just go out there and you enjoy yourself, and I played really well from being 5-1 down (against Fett), and since then I have just kept that going, basically," she said.

“Six years ago. It’s so long ago,’’ she said.

“All I can say is that I think I’m in a good place, I think I’m hitting the ball well and everything’s been going well in the last year-and-a-half. It’s been good.," she said.
