Champions Trophy: India defeat Argentina 2-1

Breda,June 24 (IBNS): India registered their consecutive second victory in the ongoing Champions Trophy as the national side defeated Afghanistan here on Sunday.

India defeated their opponents 2-1.

Giving an initial advantage in the match, Harmanpreet Singh gave India the lead off a penalty corner in the 17th minute of the game.
In the 28th minute of the match,  Mandeep Singh  increased the goal margin to 2-0.

Argentina reduced the gap and winning margin as Matias Paredes hammered a penalty in the 30th minute for the side.

In their first match of the tournament, India defeated Pakistan 4-0.
