CL T20: KKR beat Dolphins by 36 runs

Hyderabad, Sept 29 (IBNS): Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued their dominance in the Champions League T20 as Gautam Gambhir's men defeated Dolphins by 36 runs to register 13th victory in the tournament here on Monday.

Posting 187 for two, KKR bowlers restricted Dolphins to 151 for eight.

Andile Phehlukwayo remained the top scorer for Dolphins with his 18-ball 37, smashing eight boundaries and a six.

Morne van Wyk  (34) and Khaya Zondo (32) made some crucial contributions but that were not enough to reach the target.

KKR bowlers kept their promise of performing well int he tournament and it was Sunil Narine whose mystery with the ball continued in the match as he took three wickets by giving away 33 runs.

Yusuf Pathan scalped  two wickets.

Earlier, KKR scored 187 for two as opener Robin Uthappa smashed an unbeaten 55-ball 85.

In his knock, he smashed 13 boundaries and played the role of an anchor to post a competitive total at the scoreboard.

Manish Pandey also entertained the spectators with his dynamic 47-ball 76 which included five boundaries and equal number of sixes.

The duo added 153 runs in their partnership.

Gautam Gambhir (12) and Jacques Kallis (6) did not contributed much with their willows in the match.
