Cricket on snow? Virender Sehwag still hits 50

| @indiablooms | Feb 09, 2018, at 04:43 pm

Bern, Feb 9 (IBNS): Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag may have left the game but once again proved to be one of the most aggressive batsmen of all time.

Unlike his playing days, the pitch this time was made of snow.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi's Royals and Sehwag's Diamonds were engaged into a cricketing battle on snow in Switzerland.

Sehwag, showing his courage even on snowy pitch, has hit a half century. He scored 62 runs from 31 balls at a strike rate of 200.

Boasting on his innings, the former Indian opening batsman said on Twitter that he may have dropped down his gun but didn't forget how to fire it.

However, Sehwag's Diamonds were defeated by Afridi's Royals.

Batting first, Diamonds have scored 165/9 while the Royals chased down the target within 16 overs.

The competition will conclude on Friday.
