Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja nominated for Arjuna Award

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS): Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has been nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award by the award committee.

The announcement was made on Saturday.

Jadeja, an all-rounder, became one of the 19 sportspersons to get nominated for the award.

Though the southpaw could not make it to the playing XI in early part of the World Cup 2019, Jadeja glittered when he got the opportunity. In the semi final match, which was lost by India, Jadeja hit a powerful half century to fight for the men-in-blue.

Apart from Jadeja, para-athlete Deepa Malik and wrestler Bajrang Punia have been nominated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.
