Ex-England cricketer Andrew Flintoff injured after car crash during 'Top Gear' shooting

London: Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff was injured while filming for popular  BBC television show "Top Gear".

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The incident happened at Top Gear's test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey, reports BBC.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and a BBC spokesperson said details would be confirmed "in due course".

According to reports, the mishap did not take place in highspeed.

A BBC spokesperson said: "Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately."

"He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course," the spokesperson added.

Flintoff is considered as one of the best all-rounders to play the game for England.

He had played a crucial role in England's 2005 and 2009 Ashes victory.
