Excited to take on Bangladesh in historic pink ball D/N Test at Eden: Wriddhiman Saha

Kolkata/UNI: India's wicket-keeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha on Wednesday said they are very excited to be part of the historic pink ball day-night Test match when India take on Bangladesh at the iconic Eden Gardens from Friday (November 22).

"Yes we all are very excited and lots of talks and discussion having in the dressing rooms with pink ball preparations for the first time day-night test against Bangladesh,"the home grown cricketer told reporters here.

When asked the effectiveness of the Indian bowlers with new kind of ball, Saha said they are very good bowling side with Mohammed Shami was in fiery form who could be very lethal for any opponent.

On a query Saha said many have also opined that reverse swing is very difficult with pink ball, however, they have also alternate method to have effectiveness for any kind of situation.

Saha, who had played with pink ball in a domestic match in 2016, said playing local match and an international match like Test was very different.

He said they have played with Kookaburra ball but this time SG made pink ball will have new experience.

"Yes it is challenging for batsmen to play with pink ball in the night and bowlers will have greater advantage, Saha said adding they are looking ahead with the new opportunity offered to us."

Saha said they are also expecting full house at the Eden Gardens as like them the spectators are also hoping new kind of experience with test match between India and Bangladesh.

Saha however, made it clear that they will take the field to win the match as they would represent the country for the historic Test in the continent.
