First Test: England 67/2 at lunch on day 1 against India

Chennai/IBNS: England scored 67/2 at lunch on the first day of maiden Test against India at MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Friday.

The two wickets lost by England almost at the stroke of lunch were in the form of Rory Burns and Daniel Lawrence.

While Burns scored 33 off 60, Lawrence was sent back to pavilion by Indian bowlers for a duck.

The two wickets were picked up by Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah.

Earlier, England skipper Joe Root won the toss and elected to bat first.
