I enjoy playing in India: Afridi

Kolkata, Mar 13 (IBNS): A day after his team arrived in Kolkata to participate in the ICC World T20 event, Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi on Sunday said he has always enjoyed playing cricket in India.

"I have enjoyed playing in India. I will always remember how people loved me and my team here," Afridi said while addressing a press conference here.

Speaking on pressure, he said, "International cricket is all about pressure. The team which handles pressure well wins in the end."

He said both the matches against Bangladesh and then India are crucial for the side.

"Both matches against Bangladesh and India are important. We need to catch the rhythm for the entire tournament with the first match against Bangladesh," the cricketer said.

Appreciating India's performance in T20 cricket, he said: "India is currently playing very good cricket."

He said he is confident with the Pakistani bowling attack.

India defeated Pakistan in the recent Asia Cup encounter.

Speaking on the entire issue of delay over their arrival in India to participate in the World T20 tournament, Afridi said he will not like to speak on politics.

"Whatever decision the state takes, we are behind them," the Pakistani skipper said.

"I think we should keep politics away from it," he said.

Eden Gardens will witness a high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan on Mar 19.
