I was not involved in any wrong doing: Suresh Raina

New Delhi, July 2 (IBNS): Rubbishing charges of accepting bribes leveled against him by former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi, Indian batsman Suresh Raina has said he was never involved in any 'wrong doing'.

Raina said all allegations against him are 'false'.

In a statement issued by sports management firm Rhiti Sports, Raina said: "Suresh Raina, India cricketer: “In the wake of recent media reports about me, I would like to make my fans around the world aware and clear the air that I have always played the game in right spirit and with utmost integrity."

"I have never been involved in any wrong doing and all allegations against me are false. Playing cricket is my passion for whichever team I have represented. I’m also figuring out my legal rights to take the right steps ahead in this matter," the Left-handed batsman said.

The BCCI on Monday rejected Modi's allegations against three cricketers of taking bribes from a businessman.

The board gave 'clean chit' to the cricketers.

Addressing a press conference, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said: "There is no information on these players from ICC so far. It is in a way a clean chit for them to play."

Modi on Saturday alleged that Chennai Super Kings players Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo and Suresh Raina  were involved in IPL betting.
