Dubai, Feb 15 (IBNS): The International Cricket Council today released 10 city-specific media kits in an initiative aimed at helping the traveling media to better plan their visit to England and Wales for the coverage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which will be played from 30 May to 14 July.

These kits are available in the Resources section of the Online Media Zone. In the build up to and during the tournament, the Online Media Zone will be a one-stop shop for the media and will house loads of valuable content, read an ICC website.

"As this is a password-protected site, you will need login details, which you can get by writing to C. Rajshekhar Rao at rajshekhar.rao@icc-cricket.com," read the ICC website.

The media kits provide useful details on training and match schedules, media facilities on match and non-match days, venue history and records, places to dine/visit/shop, commuting within city and to the match venue, hotel names, content that will be available on the Online Media Zone for free download and editorial use, etc.

In each kit, a star cricketer talks about his or her city in the My City Guide section. The names to contribute in the media kits include Ian Bell (Birmingham), Mark Alleyne (Bristol), Heather Knight (Cardiff), Paul Collingwood (Durham), Jason Gillespie (Leeds), Mark Ramprakash (London), Wasim Akram (Manchester), Jake Ball (Nottingham), Charlotte Edwards (Southampton) and Anya Shrubsole (Taunton).

Apart from the city-specific kits, the ICC has also produced a kit on England and Wales. It includes a Welcome note from Steve Elworthy, Managing Director – ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. This document is also available in the Resources section of the Online Media Zone.
