ICC World T20: Afghanistan win toss, elect to bat first against SL

Kolkata, March 17 (IBNS) Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first in their maiden Super Ten group one league match of the ICC World T20 against current champions Sri Lanka at Eden gardens here Thursday.

Following are the teams:

Afghanistan :Asghar Stanikzai ( Captain), Shahzad Mohammadi,Noor Ali,  Karim Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Samiullah Shinwari, Najib Zadran, Rashid Khan, Shafiqullah Shafaq, Dawlat Zadran and Hamid Hassan.

Sri Lanka : T M Dilshan , Dinesh Chandimal,Lahiru Thirimanne,  Chamara Kapugedera, Angelo Mathews ( Captain), Milinda Siriwardana , Shehan Jayasuriya, Thisara  Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dushmantha Chameera and Rangana Herath.

Umpires :  B N J Oxenford ( Australia) & J S Wilson (West Indies)

TV Umpire : R A Kettleborough (England).
