ICC World T20: Virat Kohli hit 82 no, India beat Australia to reach semis

Mohali, Mar 27 (IBNS): India's charismatic batsman Virat Kohli slammed a heroic unbeaten 82 runs to help India beat Australia by six wickets in a World T20 match to cruise the side to the semi-finals of the tournament here on Sunday.

 Chasing Australia's 160 for six, India reached 161 runs by losing four wickets with five balls to spare.

Kohli hammered nine boundaries and two sixes in his crucial knock.

Kohli and MS Dhoni (18*) added 67 runs in the fifth wicket partnership to help their side reach the target quite easily at the end of a vital match.

Yuvraj Singh contributed 21 runs with his willow.

Shane Watson, who played his last T20 match of the career, picked up two wickets in the match.

India needed to win the match to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
