Wellington, Feb 3 (IBNS):After a poor show in the fourth match, India performed strongly in the fifth match to beat New Zealand by 35 runs to clinch the series 4-1.

After posting 252 runs in 49.5 overs, Indian bowlers bowled out the homeside for 217 runs, giving another series win for the Men In Ben in the ongoing Australia-New Zealand series.

James Neesham who contributed some quickfire 32-ball 44 runs. He hammered four boundaries and a six in the match.

Chahal picked up three wickets for India.

Earlier, riding on Ambati Rayudu's 90 runs knock, India scored competitive 252 runs.
