India in charge as rain stops play once again

| @indiablooms | Jun 16, 2019, at 11:32 pm

Manchester, June 16 (IBNS): Rain has stopped play for the second time in the high-voltage Cricket World Cup match here at Old Trafford where India are in complete control and Pakistan staring at defeat.

If play resumes, Pakistan would need 171 runs to win in 15 overs with just four wickets remaining.

If play cannot continue and the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method is applied, India still stands to win at this stage.

Pakistan won the toss and set India to bat first. India made 336 losing five wickets at the end of 50 overs.

When rain stopped play at the end of the 35th over, Pakistan were tottering at 166 having lost six wickets.
