IPL 2024 Auction: Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya likely to rejoin Mumbai Indians

| @indiablooms | Nov 25, 2023, at 05:01 pm

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya is likely to return to his former franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians, in an all-cash trade, several media reports have claimed.

Hardik is likely to be traded at Rs. 15 crore ahead of the auction which is scheduled to be held in December.

To get the star allrounder in their team, Mumbai need to pay Hardik's full salary, which is about Rs. 15 crore, and an undisclosed amount to Gujarat.

Presently, Mumbai do not have sufficient cash to buy Hardik. For the trading, Mumbai need to release some players to add money to their purse.

Hardik, who is Team India's vice-captain, won the titles for Mumbai four times.

In Gujarat's inaugural season, Hardik, who was the captain, won the title in 2022. He went on to lead the franchise to the final in the 2023 edition, where they lost to MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings.

Hardik is presently recovering from his injury which he suffered during the Cricket World Cup 2023.
